A MENTALLY HEALTHY
DORSET
are united in a passion to improve people's mental health and reduce the number of suicides in Dorset.
Sound like a worthwhile ambition?
Why not join us?

WE ARE: DEDICATED.
INCLUSIVE. COLLABORATIVE.
RESPECTFUL. ACCOUNTABLE.
We live in unprecedented times – first COVID and now the cost of living crisis is taking its toll on our nation’s mental health and the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in society have paid the highest price.
The alliance is a network of voluntary and statutory organisation, individuals and businesses working together with one common cause – to support anyone who needs help, to create a mentally healthy Dorset.
A critical part of our work is suicide prevention. We won’t rest until nobody in Dorset believes suicide is the only option.
We are the Dorset Community Mental Health Alliance – Working together for Dorset’s wellbeing.

Help save a life

Public Health England has produced an in-depth training course on suicide prevention. It takes around two hours to complete, but doesn’t have to be completed in one session.

Can you spare 30 mins to save a life? Our partners, the Zero Suicide Alliance has put together this brilliant training video, which helps us all know what to do if we encounter someone in crisis.
